Welcome to Onga – Your Northern Lights Retreat
Thank you for choosing Onga, where breathtaking views of the Northern Lights and unparalleled lodge hospitality come together to create a truly magical experience. To ensure clarity and mutual understanding, we kindly ask you to review the terms and conditions outlined below. These terms govern bookings, stays, and services provided at Onga AS, and are designed to make your visit as enjoyable and seamless as possible. Should you have any questions or need further clarification, our team is here to assist.
BOOKINGS
Bookings should be sent either by email info@onga.no or using our online booking system. The booking is confirmed when you get written confirmation either by email or as an automatic confirmation sent through our booking system.
Minimum stay is 2 nights.
For group bookings (more than 3 rooms) special conditions apply, including cancellation policies. Please contact us with the specific enquiry via info@onga.no.
Onga AS reserves the right to make changes to these terms.
PAYMENTS
All bookings will be quoted and processed in NOK (Norwegian Kroner) and include VAT.
The 30% deposit shall be paid at the time of booking. If the deposit is not paid, Onga AS reserves the right to cancel the booking without notice with the cancellation information sent by email.
We require full pre-payment of the remaining balance 28 days prior to the arrival date. The booking confirmation will contain a link for the remaining amount with a due date. In the event of non-payment by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation without further notice.
Onga AS reserves the right to correct any errors in the prices of confirmed bookings.
CANCELLATIONS AND AMENDMENTS
The booking may be amended or cancelled at any time before the stay has begun. All cancellations or amendments shall be made in writing and confirmed by Onga AS.
The following cancellation charges will be payable calculated on the total value of the booking:
- if cancellation is received from 28 days to 15 days prior to arrival: 30%
- if cancellation is received from 14 days to 0 days prior to arrival: 100%
- if the stay is during the period between 22 December – 3 January: cancellations made less than 28 days prior to arrival require full payment.
Onga AS reserves the right to cancel, curtail or amend the services without any liability where the services cannot be supplied at all or cannot be supplied as described or agreed due to circumstances beyond its control or the control of the applicable third-party suppliers. Where Onga AS cancels the services in accordance with the above mentioned, it shall not be liable to refund any amount and/or pay any compensation. Whenever possible, an alternative activity will be offered, which guests may choose to accept or decline. Extra cost may appear in case of a higher price.
FORCE MAJEURE
Unless otherwise specified, Onga AS is not liable or obligated to compensate if obligations are impacted by ‘unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances’ beyond our control, where outcomes couldn’t be prevented despite reasonable efforts. Such events include, but are not limited to, warfare, terrorism, civil unrest, severe health risks, natural disasters, government actions, industrial disputes, and severe weather which makes it unsafe or impractical to proceed with an activity or travel.
APPLICABLE DISCOUNTS / EXTRA CHARGES
Children from 4 to 13 years old at the time of stay get 30% discount on accommodation, some activities and meals when sharing the room with 1-2 adults.
Christmas Eve (24.12) and New Year (31.12) Eve dinner supplement: 500 NOK / adult and 350 NOK / child 4 – 13.
ACTIVITY ACCESS TERMS
We recommend our guests to have a valid activity insurance, especially for activities involving risk. We also encourage them to ensure that their insurance covers any loss or damage to personal property as well as the hotel’s property and interior during their stay.
Onga AS shall be informed about special requests, physical conditions, allergies at the time of booking to ensure high quality of the services and safety of the guests. Guests agree to follow all safety instructions and directions provided by Onga AS or our partners during activities.
Activities are priced per person.
SMOKING AND ALCOHOL POLICY
All our properties have a no-smoking policy in line with the Norwegian legislation. Onga AS reserves the right to charge a penalty for non-compliance. Consuming alcohol bought at other places than Onga is not allowed.
JURISDICTION AND LEGAL DISPUTES
Onga AS operates in accordance with Norwegian law. Any legal disputes arising after the order is placed must be resolved in accordance with Norwegian law in a Norwegian court.
