In our kitchen, tradition and innovation live side by side. Our goal is to turn ancient recipes, modern techniques and high-quality local ingredients into timeless culinary experiences.

Welcome to a dining experience out of the ordinary!

Our dining experience is based on a set three-course menu, where the chef carefully curates the dinner of the day using the finest ingredients available.

When staying at ONGA Boutique Lodge, meals are thoughtfully included in the package:

  • Buffet breakfast featuring freshly baked bread
  • Hearty “husmannskost” two-course lunch. “Husmannskost” refers to traditional Norwegian comfort food, often characterized by simple, hearty, and rustic dishes rooted in the country’s agricultural and rural history. It typically involves ingredients that were commonly available to everyday people, such as potatoes, root vegetables, grains, fish, pork, lamb, and dairy. These meals are designed to be wholesome, nourishing, and satisfying, often slow-cooked or prepared using time-honoured methods. Today, “husmannskost” has been embraced as a celebration of Norway’s culinary heritage, combining tradition with modern twists to showcase rich, authentic flavours.
  • Fine dining experience with a three-course dinner.
  • Carefully curated selection of wines.
  • A special beer menu featuring selections from Svalbard Bryggeri, brewed on Spitsbergen.

Guests can enhance their experience by ordering a five-course dinner as an optional extra.
