ONGA offers a unique combination of refined room comfort and immersive nature experiences through our signature glass igloos, the Aurora Domes — just a short walk from your room, nestled quietly in the surrounding forest. It’s an unforgettable way to connect with the Arctic sky.
Nestled in the heart of nature, the rooms at ONGA Boutique Lodge are designed to offer a peaceful and authentic Arctic retreat. Spread across four one-floor buildings with traditional grass roofs, each room blends Scandinavian elegance with modern comfort. The entire lodge was renovated in 2024, ensuring a fresh and refined atmosphere. Every space is enriched with unique art objects, specially created for ONGA, adding a personal and artistic touch to the stay.
We offer a unique and intimate lodging experience with a total of 10 double rooms, each designed to provide comfort and luxury amid nature’s splendour. Guests can choose from Classic Queen rooms, Signature Queen and Twin rooms, a Deluxe Queen room with a cosy fireplace, or Aurora SPA Queen rooms that feature private saunas and outdoor jacuzzies.
Our rooms are purposefully designed without TVs, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the beauty of nature, which serves as the main source of entertainment at ONGA Boutique Lodge. For those who wish to stay connected, all rooms are equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi Internet.

Classic Queen Room
A charming and intimate space designed for relaxation. This room features a comfortable queen-size bed, natural materials, and tasteful decor inspired by the surrounding wilderness.
Perfect for solo travellers or couples seeking a peaceful retreat, this is the smallest room category and does not accommodate an extra bed.
Signature Queen Room
Spacious and elegant, the Signature Queen Room provides a luxurious queen-size bed and refined decor inspired by Nordic nature.
While designed primarily for two guests, an extra bed can be added if required.
Signature Twin Room
Designed for guests who prefer separate beds, the Signature Twin Room features two comfortable single beds in a stylish, nature-inspired setting.
While designed primarily for two guests, an extra bed can be arranged if necessary.
Deluxe Queen Room with a fireplace
A cosy yet refined space, the Deluxe Queen Room features a queen-size bed, elegant natural materials, and a private fireplace for a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Firewood for the fireplace is provided at no extra cost.
Aurora SPA Queen Room with a private sauna and outdoor jacuzzi
The ultimate luxury retreat, the Aurora SPA Queen Room features private spa facilities for an exclusive wellness experience – a private sauna, and an outdoor hottub with a stunning view over the valley, the mountains and the skies.
During the winter season, this room also includes access to a private Aurora Dome, offering an intimate space to admire surrounding nature and the Northern Lights in comfort.
Some of these rooms have limited space for an extra bed, which can only be arranged upon special request and if available.
Glass Igloos – Aurora Domes
Created by one of ONGA’s owners with a passion for nature and design, our Aurora Domes invite you to experience the magic of the Arctic sky in every season. These elegant glass igloos are tucked into the quiet forest just a short walk from your room — offering warmth, comfort, and a front-row seat to the Northern Lights in winter, or the soft glow of the midnight sun in summer.
With no curtains, no light pollution, and no distractions, the domes offer a fully immersive connection to nature.
Shared Aurora Dome equipped with stylish chairs and oven is included in all winter packages, while Private Aurora Domes featuring a queen bed, chairs, slippers, and a wood-burning oven can be reserved year-round for an even more intimate escape.
TIP: Private Aurora Dome is included in the winter packages with Aurora SPA Queen room.
Guests enjoy full access to both their room and their dome and are free to choose where they wish to spend the night — wrapped in the comfort of their room or surrounded by nature in the dome.
Whether you’re watching the Aurora dance across the sky or falling asleep beneath glowing summer skies, the Aurora Dome promises a stay you’ll never forget.
The Aurora Domes are located in the forest close to the lodge (appr. 100-150 m) and not equipped with toilets or running water. Guests are encouraged to use the facilities available in their rooms for their convenience and comfort.
Additionally, the domes do not have curtains, allowing for a fully immersive experience of sleeping in nature, with unobstructed views of the sky and surroundings.
Each Aurora Dome accommodates two guests with no space for an extra bed.
SPA facilities – Wood-fired sauna and Outdoor jacuzzi
At ONGA Boutique Lodge, we believe that true relaxation is essential to a memorable stay. Our wellness facilities are designed to provide guests with the ultimate opportunity to unwind, rejuvenate, and reconnect with nature.
You are welcome to unwind in our shared facilities, including the wood-fired sauna and outdoor jacuzzi, where you can soak in the warmth and reflect on your day’s adventures. Depending on your package, access to the spa facilities may be included or available as an optional extra for an additional fee.
ONGA Serenity Session
Our ONGA Serenity Session offers a truly relaxing experience, with access to both our shared wood-fired sauna and outdoor jacuzzi. Located close to the rooms within the same beautiful grounds, this wellness experience is designed to help our guests unwind and reconnect with nature. Towels and bathrobes as well as rubber slippers are provided for the comfort.
As this is a shared experience, guests will enjoy the facilities together with others who have booked ONGA Serenity Sessions. However, due to the intimate nature of our lodge, the number of users at any given time remains limited, ensuring a tranquil and enjoyable atmosphere.
One-day access can be ordered in advance or purchased during the stay. ONGA Serenity Session is included in some of our packages.
Private SPA facilities
Guests staying in our Aurora SPA Queen rooms enjoy the luxury of their own private sauna and outdoor jacuzzi, right on the terrace adjoining the room. This exclusive feature offers a personal, serene wellness experience, allowing guests to relax and unwind in the comfort of their own space, surrounded by the natural beauty of ONGA Boutique Lodge.
